John Alsop
PresidentJohn was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. He has a lovely wife and three adult boys. The family is sports minded. Wakeboarding, Soccer and Baseball are some of the passions that the family enjoys. John still plays in co-ed Softball. John's father was also in the insurance business. He remembers his father discussing cases at the dinner table as a boy. John is currently very active in the community. He does everything from coaching Soccer and Baseball to working with Lutheran High School La Verne. He belongs to three Chambers of Commerce. He has been instrumental in increasing his company's charitable giving to over $15,000 per year.
John Alsop started in the Insurance industry as an Insurance Underwriter from 1982 - 1989 and then embarked in his career as an Insurance Agent. He was first located in a Sears store nestled in a booth between the shoe department, near the store's elevator. From these humble beginnings, John worked hard and built his business over the next two years until he opened his first office located in Montclair, Ca in 1991. The next 6 years saw continued growth and in 1997, John moved into his larger office on Arrow Hwy in Montclair where it is currently located. The growth and recognition for John's hard work continued over the next 4 years and in January 2001, John acquired his second Agency located in Chino, Ca. Here he brought his winning formula of outstanding customer service and professional staff that had proven to bring so much success in his business. In 2001, the Insurance industry was in a hard market. John saw this as an opportunity and acquired his third Agency in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca in January 2002.
The next four years brought sustained growth in John's Agencies and as the Agency grew, so did the need for more staff. John emphasized constant improvement of his licensed agents by training and specialization in many types of insurance. Through the building of referral networks, John's agencies were recognized as the number one writer of property in all of California. The John Alsop Insurance Agency is consistently rated in the top 2% of California agencies. In 2006, John again seized opportunities to grow and acquired two Agencies in Upland, Ca and Montebello, CA.
Growing this fast brought many unique challenges for building up and training staff, and John saw the need for process management to standardize processes inside the office to further enhance the customer experience. John promoted from within his Agency, Managers for each of the 5 Agencies as well as moved staff in specialized areas of expertise in Account Management and Customer Service. John also hired an Operations Manager to help coordinate all office processes and marketing. To meet the needs of the future and to take advantage of the booming Internet Insurance Market, John developed a new Internet Department that focuses on Internet business driven from our new Website, GoldenStateQuotes.com
Today, John Alsop Insurance Agency services over 9000 households with almost 20,000 customers. John believes that you are only as good as the people that work for you. John has 30 employees and here are some of the people that make his business grow.

Office ManagerI started with The John Alsop Agency in March of 1992 right out of high school. I had no prior knowledge of the insurance industry and John hired me when he was starting his first office in Montclair. In the very early years with him, I learned the basics of the industry from him. I became Property & Casualty licensed and I later acquired my Life Insurance License. Thereafter, I learned all the other major lines of insurance. As John's most senior employee, I have built up one his largest clientele and referral networks. I became his top producer and Agency "MVP". John has given me the prestigious opportunity to manage his main office in Montclair for the last 7 years. Working and servicing our clients with the respect and integrity John expects has been my joy do to. The opportunity John gave me has allowed me to pursue many of my goals in life. I purchased a home and I am able to travel and to start a family.

Account ManagerI've been with the John Alsop Agency for four years and licensed for Property and Casualty. My husband of three years Eric and I have two cats until we buy a house, then a dog too. I love cooking especially baking. I also love walking, singing and spending time with my family. I'm an active member of my church and am part of the Bell Choir. What I like about insurance is that it's a joy trying to help people save money. Insurance is like a puzzle that I have to figure out to help people. Insurance needs are different for each person and I'm there to sort out all the pieces.

Account ManagerI started in February 2006 in the Insurance Industry with John's Agency. I am Property & Casualty Licensed and soon will have my Life Insurance License. I am the oldest of 4 in my family. I have two teenage sisters and a 10-year-old brother. I like doing hair & make up for wedding parties, special events, and photo shoots. I currently attend cosmetology school and will obtain my license next year. I have an artistic side and I am passionate about anything that involves fashion, music, hair, and make up. I like that the Insurance Industry because it helps me build strong relationships with clients.

Account ManagerI am the third child of four in a family of Latin descent. I grew up in the City of Pomona attending Philadelphia Elementary School, Simmons Middle School and Garey High School. After I graduated from Garey in 2000, I was part of the Viking Marching Band and also a Police Explorer serving my city of Pomona. I am a very simple down to earth individual who enjoys the company of friends and family. I have been in the line of insurance for a little over a year. I enjoy being the voice of reason for Allstate. I love the relationships that are built in my profession as in getting to know my customers and knowing what is going on in their life. I plan to be here for years to come and be the person you will all come to when looking for peace of mind and assistance with your insurance needs.

Account ManagerI was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and I am the youngest out of 7 children. I am a mother of 5-year-old twins and a 1-year-old baby boy. I enjoy spending time with my family and I put them first in everything I do. I served my country in the U.S. Navy for four years. I hold a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration. I have been in the insurance field for about 2 years and I enjoy helping and educating my clients on how to protect their assets, their families, and themselves.

Office ManagerI met John Alsop at our Church and after knowing him for many years, began my Insurance career with John's Agency in February 2000. I've managed 2 of John's Agency's along the way, Chino and now Rancho Cucamonga. I hold both a Property and Casualty license as well as a Life Insurance license. I formally managed 2 computer stores and what I like about the Insurance industry is that I found many technical aspects of Insurance fit with why I was drawn to the Computer Industry. I live in San Dimas with my wife of 21 years and my two children. I am involved with my church and family activities including camping in our state of California. Being an Insurance Agent gives me the opportunity of truly serving people by looking out for them by helping to protect our folks from the unexpected.

This field affords me the opportunity to utilize my customer service skills as your account representative. I really enjoy this aspect of my career, being able to serve the customer. Office ManagerI have been working with The John Alsop Agency since January of 2004. I had no prior insurance knowledge or experience when I began working in the Chino Agency as the Front Desk Receptionist. I soon received my Property and Casualty Insurance license and began working as a sales agent in the Chino Agency. I worked there for the following 2 years. When John acquired the Montebello Agency, he transferred me from Chino to Montebello to manage and I've been here since. I love working in this office especially, because I am able to assist a ton of Spanish speaking clientele who sometimes have difficulty because of the language barrier. I really get joy from being able to offer security to our clients, educating our clients regarding possible life changing decisions, and simply interacting and meeting new people.

Account ManagerWell, I'm happily married going on 4 years this November. I have one beautiful 3-year-old daughter. I like spending time with both of them. I like shopping (What woman doesn't), hanging out with friends and family and I don't mind good clean fun. I am a Christian and I try to go to church everyday. I love my work. I started working for the John Alsop Agency in 2005 and I've been licensed since 2006. I love what I do. Helping people understand the Insurance world makes me happy. Hopefully and God willing, I'll be Life Insurance licensed by January 2008.

Operations ManagerI started in September 2005, I am Property and Casualty licensed and happily married for five years. I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter and a boy on the way. My hobbies are spending as much time with my family. We enjoy going to the movies, church and going to family events. I'm associated with an Insurance group called IPS and also associated with Mommy and Me Groups through the city of Ontario. I'm very passionate about my family, especially about my daughter. She is our first priority. We try to ensure she is getting the best education and most of all ensuring she becomes a woman with great values and morals. Her happiness is our passion. What I like about my work is to know that all the work we put into these processes and marketing strategies are to better our agency and to ensure our clients are getting the best service. Knowing that our clients understand that we care and that we are here for them is what tells us that we are getting the job done.
